Pricing Policy

This Pricing Policy outlines the terms and conditions related to pricing, quotations, and payment terms for all products and services offered by TechTraders (Pty) Ltd. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and forms an integral part of our business relationship with you.

1. QUOTE VALIDITY
1.1 Standard Validity Period
All quotations issued by TechTraders are valid for a period of 24 hours from the date and time of issue, unless otherwise specified in writing on the quotation itself.
1.2 Price Fluctuations
Due to the volatile nature of technology products and currency fluctuations, prices are subject to change without notice. We recommend confirming current pricing before placing your order.
1.3 Stock Availability
Quotations are subject to stock availability at the time of order confirmation. Products may be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: Special promotions, bulk orders, or custom configurations may have different validity periods as specified in the relevant quotation.
2. CUSTOMER CONFIRMATION OF GOODS AND SERVICES
2.1 Order Acceptance
The customer is solely responsible for confirming that all goods and services reflected in our quotations meet their specific requirements in terms of quantity, specifications, and suitability for intended use.
2.2 Your Responsibility
By accepting a quotation or placing an order, you confirm that:
- You have reviewed all product specifications and quantities
- The products are suitable for your intended purpose
- You have the authority to commit your organization to the purchase
- All delivery and billing information provided is accurate and complete
2.3 Modifications
Any changes to confirmed orders may be subject to additional charges and revised delivery schedules. Please contact your account manager immediately if changes are required.
3. EVALUATION GOODS
3.1 Evaluation Period
Products supplied for evaluation purposes must be paid for in full within 5 (five) working days from the date of delivery, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to in writing.
3.2 Evaluation Terms
The following conditions apply to all evaluation goods:
- Evaluation products remain the property of TechTraders until fully paid
- Products must be maintained in resaleable condition during the evaluation period
- Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery
- Return of evaluation goods may be subject to a restocking fee
3.3 Extended Evaluations
Requests for extended evaluation periods must be submitted in writing before the standard evaluation period expires and are subject to management approval.
Important: Failure to pay for or return evaluation goods within the specified period may result in legal action and suspension of your account.
4. STANDARD PRICING AGREEMENTS
4.1 Pricing Structure
TechTraders offers various pricing tiers based on:
- Volume commitments
- Payment terms
- Partnership level
- Product categories
- Market segment
4.2 Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs)
Qualified resellers may be eligible for Special Pricing Agreements subject to:
- Minimum order quantities
- Specific product focus
- Market development commitments
- Training and certification requirements
4.3 Price Protection
Price protection may be available on selected products and is subject to vendor policies and specific terms outlined in separate agreements.
4.4 Volume Discounts
Volume-based discounts are calculated per order and may not be combined across multiple orders unless specifically agreed to in writing.
5. PAYMENT SUSPENSION
5.1 Grounds for Suspension
TechTraders reserves the right to suspend credit facilities and require cash-on-delivery (COD) or prepayment in the following circumstances:
- Overdue payments exceeding agreed credit terms
- Exceeding approved credit limits
- Dishonored payments or returned checks
- Material changes in creditworthiness
- Breach of any terms and conditions
5.2 Notification
Where practical, we will provide written notice of account suspension. However, TechTraders reserves the right to suspend accounts immediately where necessary to protect our interests.
5.3 Reinstatement
Account reinstatement requires:
- Settlement of all outstanding amounts
- Review and possible revision of credit terms
- Management approval
- Updated credit application if required
Note: Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at the maximum rate permitted by law.
6. CURRENCY AND PRICING CHANGE NOTICES
6.1 Currency Fluctuations
Prices for imported products are subject to currency fluctuations. TechTraders reserves the right to adjust prices based on exchange rate movements between quotation and invoicing.
6.2 Vendor Price Changes
Product prices may change due to vendor price adjustments. We endeavor to provide advance notice where possible, but some changes may be implemented immediately.
6.3 Notice Period
For contracted pricing:
- 30 days' notice for standard price increases where possible
- Immediate implementation for vendor-mandated changes
- Currency-related adjustments may be applied with shorter notice
6.4 Price Guarantees
Any price guarantees are subject to specific written agreements and may exclude certain factors such as:
- Exchange rate variations exceeding 5%
- Government-imposed duties or taxes
- Force majeure events
- Vendor end-of-life notifications
7. ADDITIONAL TERMS
7.1 Taxes and Duties
All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT and any other applicable taxes, duties, or levies unless explicitly stated otherwise. The customer is responsible for all applicable taxes.
7.2 Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated based on:
- Order value
- Delivery location
- Urgency of delivery
- Special handling requirements
7.3 Minimum Order Values
Minimum order values may apply and vary by:
- Product category
- Delivery location
- Account type
- Payment terms
7.4 Returns and Cancellations
Returns and cancellations are subject to our Returns Policy and may incur:
- Restocking fees (typically 15-20%)
- Return shipping costs
- Vendor restocking charges
7.5 Special Orders
Non-stock or special order items:
- May require prepayment or deposit
- Are generally non-returnable
- May have extended lead times
- Are subject to vendor terms and conditions
7.6 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding pricing must be raised within 7 days of invoice date. Disputed amounts must still be paid pending resolution to avoid account suspension.
